In Indian homes, the arrival of a newborn always came with the aroma of something sweet roasting in the kitchen - jaapa laddoos. Made by mothers and grandmothers with patience and love, these laddoos weren’t just food, they were care rolled into shape - meant to heal, strengthen, and comfort new mothers in their most delicate days.
Each ingredient had a purpose - ghee for warmth, nuts and seeds for strength, spices for balance. Roasted slowly, ground finely, and bound into laddoos by hand, they were as nourishing as they were delicious. A jar of jaapa laddoos on the shelf wasn’t just tradition, it was reassurance - that maa’s love would linger in every bite.
At The 1970 Shop, we carry forward this generational recipe - no palm oil, no preservatives, just pure ingredients, roasted patiently, and shaped with the same care.
Because Jaapa Laddoo isn’t just a sweet - it’s a reminder of nurturing hands, family wisdom, and the belief that food can be both healing and heartwarming.
Superb taste. Protective tin packing.

Super say upar
Not fresh but hard ladoos 6-7days old
The ladoos are yummy. The ladoo is not greasy, just adequate amount of ghee is there. The packaging is excellent.
